The only one that is 100% effective to give you level 3 orbs is the 7 level 2 orbs.

With the 5 level-1 orbs you are a slave of chance. I've got level-4 orbs, but have also got anti-critic shields.

Like AirHawk said the only guaranteed way is with 7 level 2 or 3 orbs for level 3 and 4 orbs respectively.

... but I personally prefer gambling with the BH

Love that chart man! I personally bounce between the two formulas. Depends on what I have in my inventory at the time.
